Still open

What we have not confirmed in Abu Dhabi

These are the gaps as of the date at the top of this page. They are listed rather than filled, and each one is a question a visitor can close for everybody.

  • Whether dogs must be on a lead — open on 2 of 16 beaches.
  • Whether dogs may go in the water — open on 14 of 16.
  • When the beach is actually open — open on 1 of 16.
  • What you pay at the gate, for you and for the dog — open on 3 of 16.
  • Sources disagree about 1 of the 16. Both versions are shown on the beach page, and neither is presented as settled.
  • 16 of 16 still have no primary confirmation — an official source, or two independent dated reports that agree.

Help us check

Been to a beach in Abu Dhabi recently?

Most of what is still missing above can only be answered by somebody who was standing there. Any one of these helps.

  • What times was the beach actually open?
  • Were dogs on leads, or running free?
  • What did you pay at the gate, for you and for the dog?
