dogbeachdubai — Privacy Policy

What dogbeachdubai does and does not collect: no accounts, cookieless analytics by default, and optional GA4 explained.

Published

This page describes exactly what dogbeachdubai collects about visitors, which — as of this writing — is very little. There is no login, no user accounts, no newsletter, and nothing is sold through the site, so most of the data categories a typical privacy policy has to cover simply don’t apply here. Where they do, this says so plainly rather than pasting in boilerplate that doesn’t match what the site actually does.

What we don’t collect

No accounts or logins exist on this site, so there are no passwords, profiles, or saved preferences to store. There’s no newsletter signup and no e-commerce or payment flow of any kind. There is no on-site contact form that stores a submission in a database — the only way to reach dogbeachdubai is the mailto link on the contact page, which opens in your own email client. Anything you send that way goes to our inbox exactly like any other email, and nowhere else.

Analytics: Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights

This site runs Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, both built into the hosting platform it’s deployed on. Both are cookieless by design — they report aggregated page-view and performance data without setting a tracking cookie or building a profile tied to an individual visitor. We use this to see which pages get read and whether the site is loading acceptably; it isn’t used to identify anyone.

Optional: Google Analytics

The site also has support for Google Analytics 4 (GA4), but it is off by default — the code that loads it only runs if a specific environment variable (NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_ID) is set on the deployment, and it emits nothing at all otherwise. If it is ever switched on, GA4 works the way Google’s own analytics product normally does, which can include cookies and cross-site identifiers under Google’s own privacy policy — not ours. Check this page’s “last verified” date if you want to know whether that description is still current.

Hosting

dogbeachdubai is hosted on Vercel. Like effectively any web host, Vercel’s infrastructure processes standard request data (things like IP address and request timing) simply to deliver pages to your browser. We don’t separately collect, store, or view that data ourselves — it’s part of how the hosting platform operates, not a choice this site makes about you.

Links to other sites

Beach pages link out to official tourism authorities, government sources, hotels, and beach operators as part of citing where a rule comes from. Once you follow one of those links you’re on someone else’s site, governed by their privacy practices, not this one.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — see “What we don’t collect” above for what that means in practice.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects or how it’s hosted changes, this page will be updated and the “last verified” date at the top will move. There is no separate changelog for this page beyond that date.

Frequently asked questions

Does dogbeachdubai use cookies?

Not by default. Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which run on every page, are cookieless by design. The only thing on this site that can set a cookie is Google Analytics 4, and that's off unless the site owner has explicitly turned it on — see “Optional: Google Analytics” on this page.

Do you sell or share my data with anyone?

There's no personal data here to sell. dogbeachdubai has no accounts, no login, and no form on the site that stores what you type into it — the only place your information goes if you write to us is the inbox behind hello@dogbeachdubai.com.

How do I ask a question about this policy or my data?

Email hello@dogbeachdubai.com. See contact dogbeachdubai for the other things that address covers.
