Two questions, and only one of them has an official answer
“Can I camp here” and “can my dog come” get blurred together everywhere this is written about, and they have completely different answers. The camping rule is published, by an authority, in five of seven emirates. The dogs rule is published by no UAE authority at all — not one, in any emirate. So the whole of the second half of this page is private operators speaking for their own sites, and it cannot be otherwise until a municipality writes something down.

Ras Al Khaimah

Sharjah
Banned overnight“The ban on staying, camping and stationing caravans on the beach overnight remains effective until further notice.” Reported 27 November 2020; we have not found a later instrument lifting it.
Dubai
Permit requiredDubai Municipality issues an instant NOC for caravan camping on the public beach in the Jebel Ali area, for a maximum of 30 days. We could not read the full permit terms, so whether dogs are addressed is unknown.
Umm Al Quwain
Permit required, seasonalUAQ Municipality opens applications for temporary winter camping permits in the Aqran and Thunaiyah areas. This is an inland scheme, not a beach scheme.
Fujairah

Abu Dhabi

Sites that take both a tent and a dog
Each of these is the operator’s own statement about their own site. None of them is a public beach, and that is not a coincidence: on a public beach nobody has published a rule, and in two emirates camping there is banned outright.
- Kite Surf Beach Center (Umm Al Quwain) — “Overnight Stay in Camp or Beach Huts accompany with owners.”
- Bear Grylls Explorers Camp (Ras Al Khaimah) — “Do you allow dogs? Yes, we have dedicated dog-friendly cabins. Up to 2 dogs are allowed per cabin.”
- Banan Beach (Ras Al Khaimah) — “A boutique glamping resort on Marjan Island with A-frame tents, loft-style tents, chalets, BBQ areas and bonfires.”
- RAK Glamping (Al Dahaisa Stables) (Ras Al Khaimah) — “Whether you have a tiny pooch or an enormous hulk of a dog we welcome all sizes.”
- Hatta Resorts, Deluxe Camper (Dubai) — “Our Deluxe Caravan is also dog-friendly. Allowing guests to bring one dog up to 20kg (subject to availability and prior notice).”
Two named sites say no in their own words, and are worth knowing before you drive: Longbeach Campground in Ras Al Khaimah (“not pet-friendly”) and Bab Al Nojoum Hudayriyat in Abu Dhabi (“pets are not permitted at the resort”).
The turtle season catch on the east coast
Camping and fires are prohibited on Fujairah beaches during sea turtle nesting season, following nesting sites detected near the Al Fqait protected area and along the shore by Dibba. This matters because Fujairah’s tourism authority promotes beach camping year-round without mentioning it — one arm of the emirate encourages what another restricts seasonally. If you are heading to Al Aqah in nesting season, check before you pack the tent.

The open question: Does any UAE municipality publish a rule on bringing a dog to a campsite or an overnight beach?
We checked all seven emirates and found nothing. That is the finding, not a gap in the research — and it is why this page cannot give you a national answer no matter how confidently other guides do.
Two smaller unknowns: whether Dubai’s Jebel Ali caravan permit addresses dogs (the full terms are behind a service portal we could not read), and Banan Beach’s actual pet rules, which its operator publishes only as an image file rather than as text.
Frequently asked questions
Can you camp overnight on a UAE beach with a dog?
Only at a private site that says so itself. No UAE municipality or authority publishes any position on dogs at a campsite or on an overnight beach — we checked all seven emirates. Meanwhile Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah have both banned camping on public beaches outright, so on those coasts the question does not arise. In practice the answer is always the operator's, never the emirate's.
Is camping allowed in Kite Beach?
We have not located any published camping permission for Kite Beach in Dubai — no rule either way. The Dubai beach our sources do cover for it is Jebel Ali, where barbecuing and caravan camping are allowed with your own equipment and a Dubai Municipality no-objection certificate for caravans. Treat Kite Beach as unverified and follow on-site signage.
Is camping allowed in Abu Dhabi?
Not confirmed by any authority we could find for the public coastline — and Abu Dhabi's parks and beaches close to dogs by emirate rule, which makes the dog version of the question moot on most of it. Winter desert camping is the well-sourced Abu Dhabi alternative, and the island's dog-friendly Sunday venue (25 Minutes to Tulum at Bab Al Nojoum, Hudayriyat) sells overnight options directly — that is an operator answering, which is the only answer that counts here.
Which UAE campsites accept dogs?
Five we could confirm from the operator's own words: Kite Surf Beach Center in Umm Al Quwain, Bear Grylls Explorers Camp, Banan Beach and RAK Glamping in Ras Al Khaimah, and the Deluxe Camper at Hatta Resorts in Dubai. Two named sites explicitly refuse dogs: Longbeach Campground in RAK and Bab Al Nojoum Hudayriyat in Abu Dhabi.
Is beach camping legal in Ras Al Khaimah?
Not on public beaches. RAK Municipality issued a decision banning camping on the emirate's public beaches, reported in May 2022. The dog-friendly sites in RAK are private glamping operations, which is a different thing from pitching a tent on the sand.
Can I camp on a Fujairah beach with my dog?
