The only officially designated dog beach in Dubai.
Palm West Beach
Leashed walks along the Palm. Dogs may not enter the water.
Pointe Beach
Promenade beach at The Pointe with pet-friendly dining. The operator's own listing says leash only and no swimming, which we have not independently confirmed.
Jebel Ali Dog Beach
Long-standing informal dog beach south of Dubai.
Black Palace Beach
Dogs are tolerated here, though not officially designated, in Al Sufouh.

How many dog-friendly beaches are there in Dubai?
We document six beaches in Dubai itself. Dubai is the hub for this site but not the limit of it — most of the UAE's dog-friendly coast, including the best-rated beach on the whole list, is in other emirates within driving distance.
Which is the closest dog beach to Dubai city?
We do not rank by drive time, because there is no distance field in our data and ordering a list by minutes we have not measured would look precise while being a guess. The Dubai beaches are listed above; Sharjah and Ajman border Dubai directly and Abu Dhabi is the next emirate south.
Can I take my dog off the lead at a Dubai beach?
Assume not. Dogs must be on a collar and leash in any public place in Dubai under Article (80) of Dubai's Local Order No. (11) of 2003, which requires a collar and leash in any public place and prohibits bringing dogs onto beaches and into public parks. No published beach exemption has been located. Treat a leash as mandatory unless a specific beach page says otherwise.
Is it worth driving to another emirate?
For swimming, often yes. Dubai's dog beaches are largely walking beaches, and the beaches with a confirmed report that dogs may enter the water are concentrated outside Dubai. Each emirate hub lists what is confirmed there.
