This beach appears to be closed at the moment
Lou Lou Beach has been closed for renovation since at least early 2025. A visitor reported in June 2026 that it was still shut with no work under way, and Google lists it as temporarily closed. No reopening date has been published: this is not one of Abu Dhabi Municipality's public beaches, so no official notice will ever name it. The adjoining Al Raha Beach waterfront path and its car park do appear to remain walkable, which is why the spot still shows up in recent posts, but that is the promenade rather than the beach itself.

Recent social posts that appear to show the spot open are walking the adjoining promenade: the Threads version names the location 'Al Raha Beach Walk (Al Dana)' and never says Lou Lou Beach, and a Nov 2025 YouTube Short uses 'Lou Lou Beach' only as a Maps waypoint for the parking. Under Federal Law No. 22 of 2016 several breeds are classed as dangerous animals nationwide, so check the UAE banned dog breeds list before you travel. The beach season runs October to April — outside it, go at sunrise or after sunset, and read up on hot sand and paw safety, because sand can burn paw pads within seconds. Press the back of your hand to the sand for five seconds: if you cannot hold it there, your dog cannot walk on it. Pack for the heat using the dog beach gear list, and assume a leash is mandatory unless this page says otherwise.
