Before you go to any UAE beach

Four things apply at every beach in this guide, not just this one. Under Federal Law No. 22 of 2016 several breeds are classed as dangerous animals nationwide, so check the UAE banned dog breeds list before you travel. The beach season runs October to April — outside it, go at sunrise or after sunset, and read up on hot sand and paw safety, because sand can burn paw pads within seconds. Press the back of your hand to the sand for five seconds: if you cannot hold it there, your dog cannot walk on it. Pack for the heat using the dog beach gear list, and assume a leash is mandatory unless this page says otherwise.
